What We Offer

We tailor our projects to meet the needs of the girls in our community.

Have you been looking to join a community that will support your goals in life?

Do you want to take part in nurturing the next generation of young girls?

Are you seeking advice or support to effectively engage with the BAME community?

Are you interested in learning valuable skills through creative workshops?

Would you like to develop leadership skills through our personal development programs?

I was a volunteer with Roots for approximately 2 years. I loved the opportunity to be part of a sisterhood with the goals and aims of helping young girls explore their identities as Muslims in a safe environment.

As a volunteer I would help organise events, assist the girls during the session, and just help to create a warm and welcoming environment for them.

We organised lots of different fun and creative tasks that revolved around exploring Islam. Bonding with the girls during these sessions was a very uplifting experience. Seeing them grow in their own journey from first joining to few months later down the line, and how they had integrated within the group, grown in confidence and embraced different challenges was very motivational for me. Being a volunteer encouraged me to grow and develop my knowledge and skills in different areas so I could form deeper connections and make the most of the opportunity I had.

Knowing that the time I invested within Roots was benefiting others, but also benefited myself, made my experience very fulfilling.
